2 thumbs way up, I loved it, my girls loved it, fun for all ages, it's a great story that helped get my girls imagination running wild!
Love this book. It will get children's minds thinking about all of the things they can do. The words are catchy and the art work is so fun.
This book oh my gosh, so cute and the imagination of arty mcsmarty is adorable! The colors of everything definately catch your eye. I sat down and read it to all three of my girls which are 12, 8, and 2 years old and the youngest one dosen't sit still very long at all she didn't move once. Great job on this book! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!
This is a great book for kids of all ages! My kids, ranging in age from 10-3, all LOVE this book! I read this book to the three year olds, and they enjoyed the colorful artwork and engaging story! My 7 and 10 year olds enjoyed the fun story and the creative use of words ! It was so fun to watch the older kids read this story to the younger ones! My family definitely recommends this awesome book!!
I have to admit a bias. I know Jared Twitchell; however, I think this is cleverly written. Jared is talented in many areas, so this wasn't a big surprise. I like the "bigger" words for a children's book to give teaching opportunities and a book to grow with. So many children's books are stuck at a certain level and you have no where to go with them. Many are read for a short season of life. I think this is one that can be re-read for many years.
The words are way too advanced for a child to read. My six year old (1st grade) tried to read this and I ended up reading it to him because he couldn't pronounce the words and didn't know what they meant. The writing was also flowery and hard to follow. The illustrations were cute, though, so I'll add a star for that. I can't recommend this book.
I must admit, there have been many different children's stories read over the years, and sometimes they make since and sometimes they do not. Usually, in my opinion, the better the illustrations the worse the story line; and that is what happened here in this tale. I was disappointed in the plot, the pictures were excellent though.
