Jack Rehab For Superheroes eBook Ann Livi Andrews Reviews

My only complaint about this book is that it ended too quickly. I loved every page. If you enjoy super heroes then you need to read this.
What do you do when everything changes? Do you try to remain the same? Do you hold onto your old life or do you embrace your new one? In the second installment of her series piece Rehab for Superheroes, Ann Andrews presents one man's struggle with such questions. Jack is a man that has been imbued, by no choice of his own, with some amazing abilities. The only question is - Does he want such power/responsibility? The story has excellent supporting characters that I imagine will be explored further in later episodes. I hope to find out more about this supporting cast - Quinn not being the least of my interest(Jack's either for that matter) and let us not forget about Jesse(what is up with that guy). As a fan of the short story installment approach I found the ending to be perfect. It stands alone as a short work, but it also entices the reader to continue to follow the story in later works. I am looking forward to reading her previous episode "Em." If you are a fan of the less explored aspects of superheroes or if you grew up on comics and want to gain a glimpse as to what might have been happening behind the scenes to some of your favorite heroes, then you should really check out this book. It is definitely worth the 0.99 price tag. Unlike Jack, you have a choice.
I found this little gem by accident. I had already read a book of short stories by the same author so I had an idea of what to expect, or so I thought. Although I loved her writing, the other stories didn’t show her full talent. However, this one really does.

‘Jack’ isn’t the first book in the series. I didn’t know it was a sequel and I had a little bit of problems understanding what was happening at first. Yet, it was intriguing enough to keep me going. I love the plot, the development of the characters and even if it’s short, the little twists the author provided. I was sad to see it end so quickly forty-six pages isn’t long enough.

So now I’m thorn between a 5-star because it’s so well written and it not only grabbed my attention but it kept it until the very last page or a lower 4-star because I wished it was done in a complete novel instead of installments.
The second installment of the Rehab for Superheroes story is even better than the first. In this one, we learn quite a bit more about the heroes and their antagonists. There's a clever bit of plot twist that I was not expecting. Definitely a fun read.
This was a super fast, super fun read. I can't wait to see what's next for Ms. Andrews' rag-tag group of heroes.
I still think the premise is interesting here in book two. It would have been fun to see the escape in full blown super-human mayhem. Perhaps this is a case where show not tell would be a real blast of heroic pizzazz. Also, so short! Just getting into it and wham. . . Next book please. Anyway, I'm sucked in now, gotta go buy the next issue.
The second installment of the "Rehab For Superheroes" series. I liked it better than the first installment. There were more characters with a good deal of interaction. More insight as to where this series is going. I always like a little humor in things that I read and I found it amusing when one character realized he has an evil twin. The way it was presented made me giggle. I want to give it five stars, but there were a couple of places where I got lost during long bits of dialogue, keeping up with who was saying what. I did see one typo (in the last sentence).
